One of five alleged armed robbers who attempted to attack and rob some market women has been killed by sprinter bus driver.
A bus with traders on board was returning from Yeji and traveling towards Sunyani when it was attacked on the Ejura-Nkoranza stretch as it approached the outskirts of Ahyiaem town, according to a police situational report. The bus’ registration number AS 9159-14.
According to the victims, five armed Fulani males shot into the aforementioned car, damaging the fan blade.
One of the robbers was promptly killed when the vehicle ran over him after a police officer serving as escort returned fire.
A mutilated Fulani male adult thought to be in his late 20s was found dead in the middle of the road when police arrived on the scene.
He was dressed in a black jacket over a pink African shirt, along with a pair of black Addidas trousers.
The deceased’s body was sent to the morgue at St. Theresa’s Hospital where it will be identified and put through a postmortem as police search for the other four suspects who are rumored to be on the run.
