Ghanaian Techpreneur and songwriter, Mr. Isaac Quarcoo has said the exploits of Black Sherif and the huge presence he has established in Nigeria could be beneficial to other artistes in Ghana too.
He made this claim when he was recently interviewed on Gh Articles TV on the programme ‘What Dey Go On Show.’
He espoused his sentiment by saying; “I know there have been many greats before Black Sherif who have done marvelous jobs individually to build that solid bridge between the Ghanaian music market and the Nigerian market but I believe that, for the next few years at least 5, Black Sherif would be the major bridge between these two sister countries.”
When the interviewer told him it’s relatively early to make such projections for Black Sherif, Mr. Quarcoo stood his ground and maintained that the young man has the capacity to foster more collaboration between the two countries.
He argued thus;
The times where certain standards were used to mark relevance and longevity are over, music has evolved so has everyone, one way or the other moved along with it.
Therefore, we can’t mark how long he will stay by his number of songs or how long he has been here. Let’s learn to see potential ahead and build people to fit into those places.
Imagine every big artist in Ghana is helping raise one major seed like Black Sherif, do you think our industry will be here in the next 5 years? The bigger picture is what is important.
