BKEAKING NEWS: Dispatch rider dies as Alban Bagbin’s convoy involved in an accident

A convoy of an advanced security team of Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin has been involved in an accident leading to the death of a dispatch rider.

The team was headed to Wa to await the arrival of the Speaker when a vehicle allegedly run into the convoy in Konongo leading to the death of the rider.

According to Kate Addo, who is head of Public Affairs at Parliament, Mr Bagbin was not affected.

The rider, identified as Chief Inspector Abednego Kaakyire died on the spot after his motorbike collided head-on with a Nissan Sentra vehicle.

Eyewitnesses say, the driver of the Nissan Sentra with registration GT 2173-21, was travelling from the Kumasi-Nkawkaw section of the Kumasi-Accra road.

In an attempt to overtake the articulated truck ahead of him crushed the motorbike, killing the rider instantly.
