BIG OPEN GUTTERS A THREAT TO LIVES IN TESHIE-RESIDENTS TO GOV’T.

The people of Bush road in the LA Dade Kotopon Municipality of the Greater Accra region complaint of big gutters left open in their communities.

Open gutters in today Ghana normally have stagnant water in them which breeds mosquitoes and that is exactly another plight of the citizens of the community.

This has made it it hard for them to just sit outside for normal air at night because the mosquitoes are too much increasing the rate of ill health in the community.

Also, as sloppy as the ends used to cross the gutter is,its hard for children to cross easily to school and other places of the community for fear of slipping and getting hurt which is a very major issue because even elderly people loose stamina once in a while when climbing it or descending it.

Citizens fear for their lives since they have faced flood issues before and these open gutters just contribute to another flood occurrence because if it heavily rains and the gutter over flows, their homes and families can be in danger.

The people therefore plead with the government to construct the gutter better and cover it for them to put them at peace
