Beg Ghanaians For False Promises – Odike To Akufo-Addo

Akwasi Addai Odike, the United Progressive Party’s (UPP) presidential candidate for 2020, has called President Akufo-administration Addo’s the worst in Ghana’s history.

According to him, the ruling party boasted about having the best economic management team and vowed to rescue the country’s economy from the previous administration of John Mahama.

“We have elevated some people to the status of demigods, refusing to criticize them when they make mistakes.” Because they have insulted Ghanaians, the Akufo-Addo administration should be begging Ghanaians right now. They are the most inept administration in history. They bragged about being the best economic management team, yet look where we are now. We wouldn’t be here if Mahama had continued to lead Ghana because the NPP government has multiplied our suffering,” he said on Happy98.9FM’s Sefah-Epa Danquah’s Hoa Daben political chat show.

He claimed that the Akufo-Addo administration had run out of ideas for leading Ghana, and that “even if he were given the entire world’s wealth, he wouldn’t know what to do with it.”

He described the Planting for Food and Jobs Policy as a failure, citing several examples. “We put 600 million dollars into the policy, yet maize prices are currently higher than they were before the policy was implemented.” We continue to import significant volumes of tomatoes. The measures implemented by the Akufo-Addo administration have failed miserably. The policy of 1Village 1 Dam has turned into a pond for cows to drink from.”

Ghana, according to the politician, is unable to balance its commerce and is primarily focused on importation, with all decent jobs going to foreign companies “who repatriate their wealth and profit-making Ghana suffers as a country.”

In response to the country’s abundant natural riches, he voiced disappointment that the country receives little to no revenue from them.

He warned Vice President Dr. Bawumia not to pursue presidential ambitions because he, too, has fallen short of expectations. “Bawumia stated that the dollar had been arrested at Ghc3.8 per dollar, and that one dollar now equaled Ghc8.07. He questioned, “What confidence does he have to declare he wants to succeed Akufo-Addo?”
