Bawumia Has Turned Into A Coward – NDC Lawyer

Godwin Edudzi Tameklo, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) legal team, has labeled Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as a coward fleeing his own shadows.

He thinks it’s getting increasingly difficult to tolerate the Vice President’s silence on the economy’s deterioration, notably the contentious Electronic Transaction Levy, or e-levy.

The private legal practitioner remarked on TV3’s New Day on Tuesday, March 15, that the country is currently on “autopilot” as the issues deepen.

One person must be held responsible for him, and that person is the Vice President, who also serves as the Chairman of the Economic Management Team.

“As for the term ‘e-levy,’ he has outlawed it totally. Mr Tameklo observed, “It is a taboo [to him].”

Dr Bawumia has been pressed by his opponents to explain his opinion on the e-levy since the controversy erupted, having previously rejected any attempt to tax electronic transactions.

However, he has remained silent on the subject.

This, according to the NDC legal team member, is cowardice.

“I had no idea he was a coward,” attorney Tameklo said.

“This is because he lacks the confidence to confront the people of this country with the identical story he regurgitated.”

“The Vice President being a coward is beyond doubt,” he added.

However, Charles Onuawonto Bissue, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the party’s Western Region Secretary, said the Vice President does not come out to remark on problems like any other.

He emphasized that Dr. Bawumia’s remarks are based on extensive research.

As a result, he stressed that if Dr. Bawumia came forth, his statement would be based on extensive research.
