Ashanti MPs To Meet Akufo-Addo Over Underdevelopment In The Region

The Ashanti Caucus of Parliament is seeking an audience with President Akufo-Addo over recent attacks on lawmakers for the underdevelopment in the region.

Majority Leader and Suame MP Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu early this week had to be rescued by police from the claws of an angry mob in his constituency over poor roads.

In a case of soaking one’s bear in water when a neighbor’s own is on fire, MPs in the region in an address to the media through spokesperson Anyimadu Antwi asked constituents to exercise restraint.

According to the Asante Akyem Central MP, though there have been some developments in the region, much more is needed thus a scheduled meeting with the President over the matter.

Anyimadu Antwi consequently asked the irate Suame youth who attacked the majority leader to render an apology.
