We’ve got to call it out. We have to. At all cost, we have to call it out. The Asawase situation epitomizes the leadership failures in the NDC.
The lack of logic and moronic reasoning in the events in Asawase is simply unprecedented. It proves just how we’ve lost it entirely as a party.
How is it that national leadership is so concerned about aggrieved aspirants following the party structures in addressing their concerns but could care less about the party’s own constitution and guidelines?
I have read the entire NDC constitution over and over again, and no where did I cite any clause which says nomination forms to contest a position in the party can be denied a prospective candidate.
At least allow the person to pick the forms and let the vetting committee decide his fate based on the so-called petition. Denying him access to the forms isn’t workable.
In any event, why do you sell nominations form to an aspirant and arrogantly refuses to accept the submission of the same form? Procedurally, this is wrong and completely at variance with our democratic process.
There’s absolutely no justification for the situation in Asawase and for me, it is a sad commentary.
Let’s get it.
