Asamoah Gyan Says He Has Lost Respect For Joy FM, Here’s Why

Former Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan says she has lost the respect he had for Accra-based radio station, Joy FM for grossly disrespecting him.

It would be recalled that Asamoah Gyan during the match between the Black Stars of Ghana and Uruguay in the 2010 World Cup Tournament held in South Africa missed the penalty which cost Ghana’s only chance of winning.

The Kokomlemle-based radio station playfully invoked the painful memories of the former skipper and he vented his frustrations via Twitter.

“Fellow Ghanaians, does Asamoah Gyan’s penalty still hurt you? Let’s hear from you…,” the official handle of the radio station posted.

Asamoah Gyan who has since become the villain in the eyes of Ghanaians took this Twitter handle to leave a message for the station.

I have lost Respect for you guys. From today, @Joy997FM is out on my list. You should be ashamed of your self. Learn how to respect. Smh,” Asamoah Gyan wrote.
