A 34-year-old Mobile Money(MoMo) vendor Famous Fiagbe is battling for his life at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital.
This was after two armed robbers shot him and took away GH₵120,000 and mobile phones at Amanfrom American Down in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday night.
Police source says the suspects who were on a motorbike attacked the victim immediately after he locked his shop around 10:00pm.
In an interview, Favour Dikah, mother of the victim narrated that, she saw the robbers shoot her son while demanding his bag and the money.
The distraught mother said the suspects fired more than five bullets before getting access to the bag with the money and fled the scene.
Madam Dikah has appealed to the Inspector General of Police(IGP) Dr George Akuffo Dampare to come to their aid and arrest the perpetrators since the money doesn’t belong to her son.
She disclosed that aside the physical cash, there were huge sums of money on the phones the robbers fled with.
