Andre Ayew is set to join Nottingham Forest as a free agent after leaving Qatari side Al Sadd.
Ayew is undergoing a medical and, if successful, will sign a six-month contract with the Premier League club.
Ayew returns to the Premier League after previously playing for Swansea City and West Ham.
He will reunite with former Swansea manager Steve Cooper, who is now in charge of Nottingham Forest.
The 33-year-old was also linked with Everton and boyhood club Olympique Marseille in France.
Ayew scored 21 goals in 89 Premier League games. The 33-year-old also played in the Championship, where he scored 18 goals in 2019/20 and 17 goals the following year, with Swansea losing in the play-offs on both occasions.
He left England in 2021 for Al Sadd, where he scored 22 goals in 39 games. He won the domestic double in his first season in Qatar before agreeing to terminate his contract, which was set to expire in June of this year.
