He said the reason why he’s tagging Nana’s sod-cutting exercises across the country as ‘sakawa’ is because most of those projects weren’t listed in the 2020 National budget and hence have no funds backing them.
Mahama also pointed out that most of those projects were not reviewed in parliament as it’s required so Nana Addo cutting sod for them is ‘fraud’ as a strategy to win the 2020 elections.
The former head of state made these pronouncements at NDC’s Townhall Meeting on the ‘People’s Manifesto’ held today at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ashanti Region.

Mahama more so stressed that he’s not referring to anyone as Sakawa but rather their activities of cutting sod for projects for which there’s no budget for.
“Please it is the sod-cutting that I am referring to as Sakawa and not anyone”, he stressed.
