Former President John Dramani Mahama has said that the current administration, led by Nana Akufo-Addo, has the biggest number of projects that have been abandoned by past administrations.
He said that in the past, projects left unfinished by previous governments were usually completed by following governments, but that this is not the case under the Akufo-Addo administration.
He claimed that the current administration has decided not to finish most of the projects that began during the Mahama era.
The former President told TV XYZ that the current government hasn’t finished projects started during his tenure because the current administration doesn’t want people to associate the Mahama administration with the projects’ inception.
The former President also told the media to pin the blame on the Nana Addo-led administration rather than seeing the matter as a national one.
He emphasized, “The media should lay the responsibility where it belongs.”
The Minority in Parliament recently conducted a statewide inspection of all projects that the NPP administration had abandoned, and a number of projects, ranging from schools to hospitals, were found to have been abandoned by the current government.
Also recently, President Akufo-Addo and the Chief of Aflao, Torgbui Adzongaga Amenya Fiti V, had a spat over an abandoned school block.
