Akufo-Addo reduced 126 Ministers because tattered economy can no longer bear it – A.B.A. Fuseini

Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu Constituency, ABA Fuseini has said that the President had no choice but to reduce the size of his government.

The President of Ghana has released a list of 46 Ministers of State and Regional Ministers for clearance by Parliament.

The President had earlier indicated that his new government will not exceed 85 Ministers as the President works to better the fortunes of Ghana.

Some seven Ministries have also been scrapped by the President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

But reacting to the appointments, ABA Fuseini indicated that Ghana’s economy is currently in tatters and government will be engaging in needless expenditure as the country struggles to come out of economic distress if a huge number of Ministers were appointed.

To him, the government in the first term was the most bloated government across the world and was sickening for Ghana’s struggling economy.

He believes that the President did not want to cut down his government but that would have meant that the government was going to struggle hence the decision to cut down the number of Ministers in order to decrease the burden on the economy.
