President Akufo-Addo, according to Ivan Kyei Innocent, a social critic, is the “giant” fighting against those combating corruption in Ghana.
Prior to President Akufo-inauguration Addo’s in January 2017, Anas Aremayaw Anas and Manasseh Azuri Awuni were hailed as global heroes for their anti-corruption efforts.
These individuals, however, have been called names, tortured, and ridiculed since President Akufo-Addo took office.
“You know what they’re doing to some of your people [journalists] in the media.” You’ve heard about Manasseh Azuri Awuni’s ordeal. You’ve seen what happened to him, Anas.
“Before Akufo Addo took government, he was a global hero, and people looked up to him. But when they arrived, Anas was degraded, he was called names, he was humiliated, he was maligned, and he was threatened…
“They’ve done everything, and unholy accusations have been leveled against his name.” Because of Akufo-Addo, Anas is now irrelevant in this political debate. He attacked him with attacking dogs and destroyed him.
