The Criminal Investigation Department(CID) of the Ghana Police Service says actress Rosemond Brown known popularly knwon as Akuapem Poloo has failed to honour their invitation although calls have been placed to her.
Akuapem Poloo was invited by the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service for posting a naked photo of herself and her son standing in front of her.
Akuapem Poloo received backlash for posting such a photo and has since been condemned by Child Rights organizations.
But in an interview with Accra-based Peace FM and monitored by MyNewsGh, the Director of the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of the Ghana Police Service, Superintendent Mike Baah said the actress has not reported to the Police although she has been invited.
According to the Police, she has refused to pick their calls after they told her to report at the office for questioning.
He indicated that the Police could use a court order to drag her to their office but did not confirm if the Police will use such means to get the actress to come in for questioning.
Superintendent Baah said the Police is working with the Social Welfare in order to provide Counselling for Poloo’s child because he has been psychologically abused adding that such abuse is a criminal offence under the Domestic Violence Act, Act 732.
