Madam Akua Donkor, the Ghana Freedom Party’s flagbearer, has petitioned Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to ask the Chief of Kenyasi No-1, Nana Osei Kofi, to demolish a police station she erected for the people of Mmim, Kenyasi No-1, and its environs.
According to the politician, she was assaulted by armed robbers, and after receiving multiple complaints about the robbery, she proposed to the District Police Commander to establish a police station, but the Chief allegedly hired’ machomen’ to demolish the structure without cause or recompense.
She said that after summoning the above mentioned Chief, she was brazenly booted out of the Goaso circuit by the judge.
“The Chief does not respect me; I have all of the documentation proving that the land is mine; he is aware of this; nonetheless, he unlawfully demolished the police station I built for the officers to battle crime in the community.” “I believe he is the perpetrator of the neighborhood’s crimes,” she lamented.
“The judge didn’t listen to my argument at all, threw me out of his office, and pronounced me guilty; I assume he was bribed to cheat on me, and I’m asking the Chief Justice to fire him.”
She reaffirmed her intention to appeal to the Supreme Court if the judge on the Goaso circuit Court is not removed because she suspects collusion.
“I need compensation; this is 200 acres of Cocoa land; I’m going to the Supreme Court to seek justice; I’m afraid for my life since the judge took money from the Chief to take away my possessions and also chased me with guns; I’m pleading with the authorities to intercede on my side,” she said.
