7th Africa zone 2 Swimming and Open Water Championships open in Accra

The 7th edition of the African Zone 2 Swimming Championships hosted by the Ghana Swimming Association is being held in the City of Accra at the Trust Sports Emporium.

The event brings together 22 nations within West Africa and Central Africa. It is an International Swimming Federation (FINA) approved Olympic Qualifier.

The event would include both Pool and Open Water Championships from the 5th to 7th of March 2020 and 8th of March 2020 respectively.

Below are some pictures from the opening ceremony which was attended by the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of Accra, Mohammed Adjei Sowah and the Chief Executive of the Coastal Development Authority (CODA), Jerry Ahmed Shaib among other dignitaries.
