The CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Lydia Dsane-Selby in an interview revealed that, measures are being put in place to enhance the smooth running of the National Health Insurance Card (NHIS).she said measures are underway to link the National Health insurance card to the National Identification Card (Ghana Card).
In her submission, she announced that the details of the NHIS Week will be commemorated from Monday, November 9, she said the initiative is to allow subscribers to use the cards interchangeably when seeking healthcare.
In the interview, she disclosed that every Ghanaian citizen will be able to link his/her National Health Insurance Card (NHIS) card to the Ghana card.
From tomorrow onwards, individuals should follow these procedures to be able to do the linkage.
Steps Involved To Link Your NHIS and Ghana Card; Individuals are to note that the name and date of birth on the Ghana card should tally with that of the NHIS card.
Do the following by Dialing *929#, select option 4, and Link Ghana Card. Then Enter the thirteen digits Ghana Card PIN- “GHA-, go on to Press the button, send and Enter the 8digits NHIS membership number, finally, Press send and Wait for a confirmation message.
