500 persons who tested negative in mandatory quarantine released

The government has released some persons who tested negative for coronavirus after being in mandatory quarantine for the past 14 days.

At a press briefing last Friday, the Minister of Information, Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, said about 500 persons out of the 950 people who tested negative in mandatory quarantine are being retested so they can be allowed to go home.

In a tweet on Saturday, Mr Oppong Nkrumah said the results of the second test were also negative.

He said the national security secretariat and the military were, therefore, coordinating the exit and transport to their homes.

He added that arrangements were being made to assist those who desired to go outside Accra.
