26-year-old man Jailed 5 years for Stealing TV Decoder

Bekwai Circuit Court has jailed a 26-year-old unemployed man to five (5) imprisonments in hard labor for stealing a TV set and a decoder.

The convict, Oppong Emmanuel, on July 7, 2021, broke into the room of the complainant at night while he was asleep to steal 48 inches Flat Screen TV set and a decoder costing a total of GHc2,500.

The complainant after noticing the theft the next morning reported the incident to the police.

Police investigation led to the arrest of the convict who admitted the offense. The items were retrieved as exhibits.

He was charged for stealing which he pleaded guilty when put before court hence sentenced accordingly by the Presiding Judge of Bekwai Circuit Court His Honour Mark Diboro.
