2 in 1: Akuffo-Addo unveils Otumfuo’s statue and cut-sod for Kejetia phase II project

The president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Thursday, 2nd May, 2019, joins Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to unveil a statue of him.The president then use the platform to also cut sod of the commencement of phase II of the construction and redevelopment of the Kumasi Central Market and the provision of associated infrastructure.The €248 million is the amount allocated for the redevelopment project to be completed within 48 months(4years)The newly cut sod project will have 6,500 leasable commercial spaces; 5,400 closed stores; 800 kiosks; 50 restaurants; 210 fishmonger and butcher stores; 40 livestock stores; and one thousand, eight hundred square metres of community facilities. Additionally, the project will also provide other essential facilities such as a waste treatment plant, a police station, a fire station, post offices, and an amphi-theatre.Source; Ghanawish.comPhotos:
